One of the highlights of the conference is a weekend with a rural congregation in Iowa, Wisconsin or Illinois.  Each experience will be slightly different, depending on the host congregation.

This will be an opportunity to experience the variety of rural situations in the American Midwest, tour agribusinesses and local tourist sites, meet with rural pastors and farmers, and worship with the congregation. 

Several potential host congregations have expressed an interest in having their international visitors either preach for their Sunday services or hold an adult forum on what your rural experiences are like and issues facing your rural communities.  (An adult form or education time is usually 45 – 60 minutes long with a presentation and time for questions and answers.)  

When you register, you will be asked if you are willing to preach or do an adult forum. There will be time in the conference to share experiences with other attendees.
